Wow! Long time, no update!
Well, I am back from Japan. Click the banner below to check my Japan blog.
That's the good news -- I'm alive, but broke. In fact, I'm so broke, that when I was invited by Orble to be a "domain blogger" for them, I decided to focus on my finances as a subject of blogging. Boring, maybe-- but for that I've made them completely transparent. No money secrets Peek into my bank account on a near-daily basis -- the goal being ultimately, perhaps, to post every penny I earn or spend in screenshot/scan form.

In other news, I have heard more details from the University of Reykjavík.
Soon I will begin figuring out how to update the progress of my Icelandic language skills. Pretty rough stuff, really -- and if you read the above letter, I could be in trouble if I don't bust my ass and learn a ton more Icelandic.
I will begin by attempting to recall from memory the complete declension of the word maður.

mann - inn
manni - num
manns - ins
menn - irnir
menn - ina
mönnu(m) - num
manna - nna
... whew. OK. I think that's right.
From here on out, updates will be more frequent as I study harder, pack, look for places to say, and in general get more and more pumped about my move!
